The Baki Dou anime went live on February 26, 2026.

Baki the Grappler, the Japanese manga crafted and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki was initially published in the shลnen manga magazine Weekly Shลnen Champion from 1991 to 1999, it was compiled into 42 tankลbon volumes by Akita Shoten. The narrative centers on teenage martial artist Baki Hanma, who hones his combat prowess through intense, unrestricted hand-to-hand battles against diverse challengers.

The manga spawned five sequels in the same publication: Baki, running from 1999 to 2005 with 31 volumes; Baki Hanma, serialized from 2005 to 2012 with 37 volumes; Baki-Dou, published from 2014 to 2018 with 22 volumes; a fifth series, also called Bakidou, but with Bakiโ€™s name in katakana, running from 2018 to 2023 with 17 volumes; and Baki Rahen, which began in 2023.

A 45-minute original video animation (OVA) debuted in 1994. A 24-episode anime series aired on TV Tokyo from January 8 to June 25, 2001, followed by another 24-episode run from July 22 to December 24, 2001. Netflix released an original net animation (ONA) from June 25 to September 24, 2018, with a second season dropping on June 4, 2020. A third series aired from September 30, 2021, to August 24, 2023, and an anime adaptation of Baki-Dou has been confirmed.
