Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on their 25th issue that Kagurabachi manga is taking a one-issue break due to creator Takeru Hokazono’s health issue.
The series will return in the next issue on May 25.

Kagurabachi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono. It began serialization in Shueisha’s weekly shōnen magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump in September 2023, and as of January 2026, its chapters have been compiled into 10 tankōbon volumes.
The story centers on Chihiro Rokuhira, who wields a distinctive and immensely powerful katana known as “Enten.” This blade is one of the seven Enchanted Blades forged by his father, Kunishige Rokuhira. Motivated by revenge, Chihiro sets out on a relentless journey to avenge his father’s death and recover the six stolen Enchanted Blades, which were seized by a mysterious and malevolent organization of sorcerers.
An anime television series adaptation, produced by Cypic, is scheduled to premiere in April 2027.
By October 2025, the manga had surpassed 3 million copies in circulation. In 2024, it claimed victory in the print category at the 10th Next Manga Awards.
