The latest installment spotlights Chihaya Hagiwara, a Kanagawa Prefectural Police officer serving as head of the motorcycle squad. Actress Miyuki Sawashiro is taking over the voice role, succeeding the late Atsuko Tanaka.
Detective Conan is a renowned Japanese manga created and drawn by Gosho Aoyama. It has appeared weekly in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine starting from January 1994, with its installments compiled into 109 tankōbon editions as of December 2025. The narrative centers on teenage sleuth Shinichi Kudo, who shrinks to the size of a young boy after probing a shadowy syndicate, and continues cracking countless mysteries by posing as his best friend’s dad or assuming other disguises.
In North America, Viz Media holds the rights for English distribution, launching the physical manga editions in September 2004 and offering digital versions via the Viz Manga platform, where new chapters drop in English at the same time as their Japanese counterparts.
