I Made Friends With the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class anime‘s official website unveiled a new trailer that confirms April 2026 release date.
I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class,” known in shorthand as Kuranika, is a Japanese light novel series mixing romance and comedy, authored by Takata with artwork by Tom Osabe on the initial volume and Azuri Hyūga handling illustrations from the second volume onward. It kicked off as an online serialization in November 2020 on Kadokawa’s fan-contributed site Kakuyomu. Kadokawa Shoten then brought it to print starting December 2021 under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko banner, releasing eight core volumes alongside a supplementary side story volume. The manga adaptation, drawn by Rin Ono, started running digitally on Media Factory’s Comic Alive+ platform in July 2022 and has gathered into six tankōbon compilations so far. A TV anime adaptation from studio Connect is scheduled to launch in April 2026.
