Rent-A-Girlfriend anime‘s official website unveiled the preview and synopsis for the 5th season’s up and coming episode 5.
Synopsis for the episode is as following:
“Responding to Mami’s demands, Chizuru kisses Kazuya in front of everyone. In front of the stunned group, Chizuru reveals that she is a rental girlfriend and makes a confession. The situation is finally calmed down, but those who know about their relationship cannot hide their unease and frustration… As Ruka is questioning Chizuru, Mami bursts in, creating a tense situation. “Stop making a fool of me!”

Rent-A-Girlfriend, a Japanese manga crafted by Reiji Miyajima, has been captivating readers since its debut in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in July 2017. As of September 2025, it spans forty-two tankōbon volumes. Kodansha USA holds the North American license, launching the first English volume in June 2020.
The story inspired a dynamic anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment, which first hit screens on MBS’s Super Animeism block from July to September 2020. A second season followed from July to September 2022, with a third airing from July to September 2023. The fourth season premiered in July 2025. Additionally, a live-action drama series aired from July to September 2022, bringing the tale to life in a fresh format.
