Rent-A-Girlfriend anime‘s official website unveiled the preview and synopsis for the 5th season’s up and coming episode 3.
Synopsis for the episode is as following:
“Asami drops her smartphone, revealing Chizuru’s “rent-a-girlfriend” page. In front of Kazu and other family and friends, the secret is finally revealed…! Everyone freezes in shock. To make matters worse, Kazuo confesses that he had witnessed Kazuya and Chizuru exchanging money in the past, and the situation takes a turn for the worse. “I tried to stop them so many times!!” Asami begins to plead tearfully. Kazuya is speechless, and Chizuru is cornered. Meanwhile, Kazu remembers a happy conversation he once had with Sayuri.”

Rent-A-Girlfriend, a Japanese manga crafted by Reiji Miyajima, has been captivating readers since its debut in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in July 2017. As of September 2025, it spans forty-two tankōbon volumes. Kodansha USA holds the North American license, launching the first English volume in June 2020.
The story inspired a dynamic anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment, which first hit screens on MBS’s Super Animeism block from July to September 2020. A second season followed from July to September 2022, with a third airing from July to September 2023. The fourth season premiered in July 2025. Additionally, a live-action drama series aired from July to September 2022, bringing the tale to life in a fresh format.
