Warning!!! Spoiler Alert From The Black Clover Manga!!!
Black Clover manga‘s three new chapters burst with energy, pivoting from the battle against Lucius to spotlight other characters caught in the sprawling war. With Lucius scheming to dominate the world and forge his idealized utopia, it’s evident that the danger extends far beyond the Clover Kingdom. As expected, a host of allies have rallied to confront this shared global menace.
The latest chapters of Black Clover deliver a thrilling resurgence, thrusting familiar faces back into the fray. These returning characters carry profound significance, as many were once foes transformed by Asta’s influence, now stepping up as allies sworn to repay his impact. Chapter 382, which is titled Former Enemies, reintroduces iconic antagonists in a chronological showcase, starting with the Diamond Kingdom, where Asta’s sword mentor makes a striking comeback. Next, the Elf Tribe, under Patolli’s leadership, returns to honor their vow to aid humanity and repay Asta’s past heroism.
The Elf Tribe’s last appearance was in Chapter 228, which wrapped up the Elf Reincarnation arc and resolved the ancient human-elf conflict. After defeating Zagred—the malevolent force behind the elves’ oppression and the human-elf rift—the elves parted ways, with Patolli pledging to one day repay humanity’s aid. Their dramatic return in Chapter 382 sees them arriving just in time to face Lucius’ ever-evolving Paladins and the destructive angels under his command. The Diamond Kingdom, appearing earlier, finds itself overwhelmed by these angels, complicating Asta’s recovery and escalating the chaos.

This chapter spotlights the Elves’ long-awaited comeback, with Patolli and Rhya leading the charge, effortlessly dispatching the angels. Patolli declares their intent to protect humanity this time, a poignant shift given the centuries-long human-elf feud that began with the rise of the first Wizard King in the Clover Kingdom. The Elf Reincarnation arc previously revealed Patolli’s connection to William Vangeance, underscoring the elves’ narrative weight, a storytelling choice echoed in Yuki Tabata’s later reveal of Lucius hiding within Julius.
