Rent-A-Girlfriend anime‘s official website unveiled the preview and synopsis for the 5th season’s up and coming episode 6.
Synopsis for the episode is as following:
“Two days have passed since Kazuya returned to Tokyo. His mind is still filled with thoughts of that kiss. He hopes that it’s practically a “yes” to his confession, but if he thinks about it calmly, she might have just been saving him out of kindness. Kazuya visits Chizuru’s room, desperate to see her, but there is no response. Meanwhile, Mini also visits Chizuru’s room. Chizuru begins to talk about how she deeply hurt Ruka. “…These feelings of mine…don’t have a ‘name’ that can convince her…”

Rent-A-Girlfriend, a Japanese manga crafted by Reiji Miyajima, has been captivating readers since its debut in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in July 2017. As of September 2025, it spans forty-two tankōbon volumes. Kodansha USA holds the North American license, launching the first English volume in June 2020.
The story inspired a dynamic anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment, which first hit screens on MBS’s Super Animeism block from July to September 2020. A second season followed from July to September 2022, with a third airing from July to September 2023. The fourth season premiered in July 2025. Additionally, a live-action drama series aired from July to September 2022, bringing the tale to life in a fresh format.
