Rent-A-Girlfriend anime‘s official website unveiled the preview and synopsis for the 5th season’s up and coming episode 2.
Synopsis for the episode is as following:
“”I got dumped…” In a daze, Kazuya receives a call from Ruka and heads to the pool. He meets up with Kibe and the others and tries to act cheerful, telling himself that he’s just going back to life without Chizuru. Then Chizuru arrives late. As always, Chizuru is playing the role of “him,” but she has kept her interactions with Mami a secret from Kazuya.”

Rent-A-Girlfriend season 5 anime will premiere on April 11, 2026.
Rent-A-Girlfriend, a Japanese manga crafted by Reiji Miyajima, has been captivating readers since its debut in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in July 2017. As of September 2025, it spans forty-two tankōbon volumes. Kodansha USA holds the North American license, launching the first English volume in June 2020.
The story inspired a dynamic anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment, which first hit screens on MBS’s Super Animeism block from July to September 2020. A second season followed from July to September 2022, with a third airing from July to September 2023. The fourth season premiered in July 2025. Additionally, a live-action drama series aired from July to September 2022, bringing the tale to life in a fresh format.
