Thunder 3 is a Japanese manga created by writer and artist Yuki Ikeda. The series has been running in Kodansha’s shōnen publication Monthly Shōnen Magazine starting from May 2022. A television anime based on it is scheduled to begin airing in July 2026.

The story centers on the “Small Three“—everyday middle school friends Pyontaro Tezuka, Hiroshi Ochanomizu, and Tsubame Azuma. While experimenting with a strange disc they borrowed from their teacher, Dr. Doc, the boys unintentionally open a gateway to a parallel dimension known as the Multiverse. A realistic-looking dragonfly suddenly flies out of their TV, and when Pyontaro‘s little sister Futaba and their family dog pursue it, they get dragged into this other world and taken captive by its alien residents. The narrative follows the Small Three as they team up with the human inhabitants of the Multiverse to save Futaba and battle the dangerous extraterrestrial forces threatening them.
