Fate/Strange Fake Anime’s New Trailer Unveils January 2026 Return Date

Fate/Strange Fake anime‘s official website unveiled a new trailer that confirms, the anime series has been delayed to January 3, 2026.

The opening theme song “Provant” is performed by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Jean-Ken Johnny & TAKUMA. Jean-Ken Johnny hails from the band MAN WITH A MISSION, and TAKUMA is a member of 10-FEET.

Fate/strange Fake is a Japanese light novel series within Type-Moon’s Fate universe, authored by Ryōgo Narita and illustrated by Morii Shizuki [ja].

Initially, it debuted on Narita’s website as “Fake/states night” on April 1, 2008, crafted as an April Fool’s jest in the guise of a prologue for a role-playing game. The content was removed post-April Fool’s but resurfaced in 2009 as a novel, bundled with TYPE-MOON Ace 2 magazine, featuring Morii Shizuki’s artwork and an afterword by Narita.

In 2014, plans for both a novel and manga series were revealed, accompanied by a short trailer. An anime special, Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn, produced by A-1 Pictures, aired in July 2023, covering much of the first volume’s content. A full anime series, also by A-1 Pictures, launched its premiere episode in December 2024, with Whispers of Dawn serving as its prologue, and subsequent episodes slated for release in January 2026.
