The Cat and the Dragon anime‘s official website unveiled a brand new trailer for the up and coming anime.

The Cat and the Dragon is a Japanese light novel series authored by Amara, with illustrations provided by Mai ลkuma. It first appeared as a web novel on the user-generated platform Shลsetsuka ni Narล, where it ran from September 2013 until June 2014. The series later received a print publication from Takarajimasha starting in April 2016.
A manga version, drawn by Izumi Sasaki, began serialization on Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Web platform in September 2017 and has been collected into twelve volumes as of November 2025.
An anime television adaptation, produced by OLM studio, is scheduled to debut in July 2026.
The plot centers on a dragon that hatched inside a cave inhabited by a family of cats. The cats chose to adopt and nurture the young dragon as part of their own kin. Over time, as the original cats passed away or departed, the dragon matured and pledged to safeguard their kind.
Tragedy struck when the dragon witnessed humans slaughtering cats for their pelts, prompting it to retaliate by eliminating the responsible adventurers. Later, meeting another cat that evoked memories of its upbringing, the dragon transformed into a form resembling a cat.
