The original run appeared from May 2015 through September 2019 via Media Factoryโs MF Bunko J label; its follow-up, Classroom of the Elite: Year 2, rolled out between January 2020 and November 2024. A further continuation, Classroom of the Elite: Year 3, kicked off in March 2025.
The narrative unfolds within the elite government-founded institution known as Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, a top-tier national high school where tensions revolve around the elite โClass A,โ a group whose graduates are poised for unparalleled accomplishments in any field they pursue.
The series received a manga version illustrated by Yuyu Ichino, which started running in Media Factoryโs Monthly Comic Alive on January 27, 2016.
