Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms anime‘s official website unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming 2nd season.
The anime also unveiled a new key visual.
Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ran Kuze. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in May 2021, and as of May 2026, its chapters have been collected into 24 tankōbon volumes. The series is licensed in English by Kodansha USA. A television anime adaptation produced by SynergySP aired from January to March 2025.
The story follows Mona Kawai, the popular queen bee of her high school who is used to being adored by everyone. The only exception is the new transfer student, Medaka Kuroiwa, who always looks grumpy and refuses to even glance her way. Determined to change that, Mona sets her sights on making him fall in love with her. However, the harder she tries and the more Medaka resists, the more she finds herself genuinely falling for him.
It is later revealed that Medaka is a monk-in-training, strictly forbidden by his temple masters from falling in love. Despite his efforts, he struggles to remain unaffected by Mona’s persistent advances. Other girls soon get involved—some as Mona’s rivals and others as her supportive friends—greatly frustrating Medaka as he desperately tries to avoid the increasing romantic attention.
