Rent-A-Girlfriend anime‘s official website unveiled the preview and synopsis for the 5th season’s up and coming episode 1.
Synopsis for the episode is as following:
“Whenever I see two people in love, I feel the urge to destroy it.” Asami had always followed the path laid out for her by her strict father. Even her high school romance was abruptly ended by her father. Alone, Asami calmly reflects on her past. Then she confronts Chizuru, who is continuing her false relationship with Kazuya, and urges her to tell Kazuya the truth.”
Rent-A-Girlfriend season 5 anime will premiere on April 11, 2026.
Rent-A-Girlfriend, a Japanese manga crafted by Reiji Miyajima, has been captivating readers since its debut in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in July 2017. As of September 2025, it spans forty-two tankōbon volumes. Kodansha USA holds the North American license, launching the first English volume in June 2020.
The story inspired a dynamic anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment, which first hit screens on MBS’s Super Animeism block from July to September 2020. A second season followed from July to September 2022, with a third airing from July to September 2023. The fourth season premiered in July 2025. Additionally, a live-action drama series aired from July to September 2022, bringing the tale to life in a fresh format.
