Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing is a Japanese light novel series authored by Hamuo and illustrated by Mo. The story originally started serialization in November 2019 on the user-generated novel platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was subsequently picked up by Earth Star Entertainment, which has released twelve volumes since July 2020 through its Earth Star Novel imprint. A manga adaptation, featuring artwork by Enji Tetta, has been serialized on Earth Star Entertainment’s Comic Earth Star website since October 2020, with the chapters compiled into twelve tankōbon volumes.
An anime television series adaptation, produced by Yokohama Animation Laboratory, is scheduled to premiere in January 10, 2026.
