The Ghost in the Shell Anime’s New Trailer Confirms July 2026 Release Date

The Ghost in the Shell, the upcoming anime unveiled a brand new trailer that just confirmed the series’ July 2026 release date.

Additionally, it was announced that Taisei Iwasaki will serve as the music director for this fresh take on Public Security Section 9, while also contributing to the composition alongside Ryo Konishi and Yuki Kanesaka. Iwasaki is handling the sound direction responsibilities as well.

The anime also unveiled a key visual.

The Ghost in the Shell is an upcoming Japanese anime TV series from studio Science Saru, adapting the classic 1989โ€“1991 manga by Masamune Shirow and continuing its expansive media franchise. The project is helmed by director Mokochan, with series composition and scripting handled by Toh EnJoe, while Shลซhei Handa takes charge of character designs and chief animation direction. The show is scheduled to debut in July 2026 as part of the Ka-Anival!! anime block on Kansai TV, Fuji TV, and affiliated stations.

Production involves a committee that includes Science Saru, Bandai Namco Filmworks, Kodansha, and Production I.G.

On January 30, the series unveiled its official key visual and a promotional preview video, coinciding with the launch of the dedicated website and social media channels for the anime.
