Synopsis for the episode is as following:
“Faced with the mysterious Bat Man, Higashijima is devastated and can only run away.
However, a conversation between a parent and child leads Higashijima to regain what is important to him as a hero and as Kamen Rider.
Meanwhile, a terrifying fang is approaching the idol festival where the Combat Girls are performing…”

Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider[^a] is a Japanese manga series created by writer and illustrator Yokusaru Shibata, developed in collaboration with Toei Company and Ishimori Productions. Serving as a spin-off of the long-running Kamen Rider franchise, the manga launched in Hero’s Inc.’s seinen magazine Monthly Hero’s in May 2018. Following the magazine’s closure in October 2020, serialization moved to the Comiplex digital platform starting in November that same year. An anime television adaptation, produced by Liden Films, began airing in October 2025.
The story of the anime revolves around the following premise:
Tanzaburo Tojima grew up completely obsessed with the Kamen Rider television series, dreaming not merely of imitating his heroes but of genuinely becoming a Kamen Rider himself. Even after coming to understand that the show is fiction and that neither the heroic Kamen Riders nor the evil organization Shocker actually exist, Tojima never abandoned his dream. He continued rigorous solo training in isolation for decades. Now, at 40 years old, he remains unmarried and works as an ordinary construction laborer. That changes when a sudden surge of bizarre crimes sweeps the area—perpetrated by individuals mimicking Shocker’s tactics and style—reigniting Tojima’s long-dormant passion and convincing him that the time has finally come to step into the role of a real Kamen Rider.
