Ascendance of a Bookworm anime‘s official website unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming 4th season that confirms April 4, 2026 release date.
The new trailer also reveals Japanese girl group Little Glee Monster’s opening theme song “Pages,”.

Ascendance of a Bookworm is a popular Japanese light novel series authored by Miya Kazuki, with illustrations provided by You Shiina.
The story was originally published online between September 2013 and March 2017 on the user-generated platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later picked up by TO Books, which released the complete series in thirty-three volumes from January 2015 through December 2023.
A manga adaptation covering the first part, illustrated by Suzuka, ran online on the Niconico Seiga website from October 2015 to July 2018 and was later compiled into seven tankōbon volumes by TO Books.
Both the original light novels and the manga adaptation are available in English thanks to J-Novel Club.
The anime adaptation, produced by Ajiado, aired its first season from October to December 2019, followed by the second season from April to June 2020. A two-episode OVA was also released in March 2020. The third season broadcast from April to June 2022.
A fourth season, now being produced by Wit Studio, is scheduled to premiere in the second quarter of 2026.
