Sanda, the new anime‘s official website unveiled the preview images and synopsis for the series’ up and coming 9th episode.
Synopsis for the episode is as following:
“Santō is criticized by the chairman, Tetsudome Jūyo, for lacking the courage to truly face children. Though he gains the power of the Black Santa with Tetsudome’s help, Mita begins to agonize over whether this strength is truly the mark of the powerful adult he aspired to be. Later, upon reuniting with Ikutame, Mita listens to her recount her past—and in doing so, he reaffirms his resolve to never fight the children, even if it means enduring slaughter itself.”

Created by Paru Itagaki, Sanda is a captivating Japanese manga that she both wrote and drew. The series ran in the pages of Weekly Shōnen Champion, Akita Shoten’s popular boys’ magazine, starting in July 2021 and wrapping up in July 2024; all the installments were later compiled into 16 handy tankōbon books.
Set in a near-future Japan grappling with a sharp drop in birth rates, the narrative follows Kazushige Sanda, who gets an astonishing revelation from his classmate Shiori Fuyumura: he’s a direct heir to Santa Claus. The duo then sets off on a quest to track down Shiori’s vanished schoolmate, Ichie Ono.
