The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash Season 2 Anime Confirmed

The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash anime‘s official website unveiled that the series is getting a 2nd season.

Aina Suzuki voices the main character Ivy in the anime, and Mutsumi Tamura lends her voice to the slime Sora. The two actresses are returning to their respective roles from the franchise’s previous drama CD.

The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash, commonly known as Saijaku Tamer or simply Weakest Tamer, is a Japanese light novel series authored by Honobonoru500 with illustrations by Nama.

The story originally debuted as a web novel on the user-submitted platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in August 2018. In November 2019, TO Books picked it up for print publication, and as of June 2025, the light novel has reached fourteen compiled volumes.

A manga adaptation, drawn by Tou Fukino, started running on TO Books’ Comic Corona web platform in February 2020 and has been released in seven tankōbon volumes as of January 2025.

Seven Seas Entertainment holds the North American license for both the light novel and manga versions.

An anime adaptation produced by Studio Massket was broadcast from January to March 2024.
