Fresh updates have dropped for the highly anticipated TV anime The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King (also known as The Barbarian’s Bride), set to debut in Japan on April 9, 2026!
A stunning new key visual, the official trailer, and additional voice cast members were just revealed, building even more excitement for this fantasy romance series.
The fresh trailer also showcases the captivating opening theme “Beautiful” performed by Mayu Maeshima, alongside the ending theme “Shirubekikoto” by sajou no hana — both tracks promise to perfectly capture the epic clash and budding connection between the proud knight and the barbarian leader!

The Barbarian’s Bride, alternatively titled The Warrior Princess and the Savage King, is a Japanese manga crafted and drawn by Noriaki Kotoba. It has been featured in Kodansha’s shōnen manga publication Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, with serialization beginning in January 2021.
Plot of the manga is as following:
“Serafina de Lavillant, the mightiest knight of the Western realms, battles fiercely against eastern barbarians. Taken captive, she is offered to Veor, the barbarian king, as his intended bride. To her astonishment, she discovers that the king is strikingly handsome, cultured, and determined to win her heart.”
