Petals of Reincarnation is a Japanese manga created by writer and artist Mikihisa Konishi. The series launched in Mag Garden‘s Monthly Comic Blade in May 2014. Following the magazine’s final issue in July of that year, it moved to the Comic Blade digital platform in September. A television anime adaptation, produced by Benten Film, is scheduled to debut in 2026.
The narrative centers on the protagonist Touya Senji, a young man driven to join the “Forest of the Greats” in their battle against the opposing group known as the “Sinners.” This antagonistic faction revives notorious and malevolent figures from history. Through intense conflicts, the story delves deeply into themes of personal identity, ethical dilemmas, and the difficult choice between accepting one’s former existence and building an entirely new path forward.
