Mission: Yozakura Family anime‘s official website unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming 2nd season that confirms April 12, 2026 release date.
Sakurazaka46 will perform the opening theme song “What’s KAZOKU,” and the ending theme song “Shalala” will be performed by Pilaf Seijin.
The anime also unveiled a new key visual.

Mission: Yozakura Family is a manga series from Japan, created and drawn by Hitsuji Gondaira. The story ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump, a popular shōnen magazine, between August 2019 and January 2025, gathering its installments into 29 tankōbon editions. In 2024, Silver Link brought it to life as an anime TV show, which ran from April through October.
The story centers on Taiyo Asano, a young boy orphaned by a tragic car accident. In the midst of his grief, his longtime childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura remains his sole source of solace. But Taiyo’s world shifts dramatically when he learns that his school vice principal is actually Mutsumi’s elder brother—and that she hails from a lineage of elite spies. Following a intense confrontation with the Yozakura clan, Taiyo finds himself wed to Mutsumi, compelled to join the spy ranks in order to safeguard her.
