Medalist anime‘s official website recently unveiled a brand new trailer for the series’ upcoming 2nd season that unveils and features ending theme “Rookies” by Conton Candy.
The anime also unveiled another trailer that features Iruka Okazaki.
Girl group HANA performs the opening theme song “Cold Night.”
Release date for the Medalist season 2 anime!
Medalist season 2 anime will be released on January 24, 2026.

Medalist is a Japanese manga created and drawn by Tsurumaikada. The series has been running in Kodansha’s seinen publication Monthly Afternoon starting in May 2020, with its installments compiled into thirteen tankōbon editions through June 2025. Kodansha USA holds the rights for its English-language distribution in North America. An anime adaptation for television, animated by ENGI, broadcast from January to March 2025, and a follow-up season is scheduled to debut in January 2026.
The manga earned the Next Manga Award in the printed works division in 2022, the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award in the overall category in 2023, and the 48th Kodansha Manga Award in that same division in 2024.
