Dark Gathering anime‘s official website has confirmed on Tuesday that a 2nd season is officially in production.
Hiroshi Ikehata is the Director of the anime.

- Kana Hanazawa as Eiko Hо̄zuki
- Rina Kawaguchi as Ai Kamiyo
Dark Gathering, a Japanese manga created and drawn by Kenichi Kondo, has been running in Shueisha’s shōnen publication Jump Square ever since its debut in March 2019. The story received an anime adaptation from studio OLM, which broadcast from July through December 2023. As of February 2024, the series had surpassed 1.5 million copies sold worldwide, encompassing both printed editions and digital formats.
Plot of the anime is as following:
“After a harrowing brush with the supernatural, Keitaro Gentoga withdrew from the world, becoming a recluse. Encouraged by his longtime friend Eiko Hozuki, he resolves to step back into everyday life by enrolling in university and taking on gigs as a personal tutor. His initial charge is Yayoi Hozuki, Eiko’s young relative—a sharp-minded grade-schooler with a deep fascination for the paranormal. She’s on a quest to track and trap malevolent spirits, all in pursuit of the culprit behind her mother’s kidnapping.”
