Chained Soldier Season 2 Anime Unveiled The Creditless Ending Video

Chained Soldier anime‘s official website has just unveiled the creditless ending video for the ongoing 2nd season.

The video highlights the pop track “Cipher Cipher” performed by renowned voice actress and singer Kana Hanazawa, with lyrics teasing cryptic and playful themes like “rotating in a symmetrical loop,” “become a dog,” and “Look at me, you’re a king.” The 90-second creditless ED video immerses viewers in a vibrant purple-hued world of thorny vines, glowing chains, and dynamic character portraits. It features close-ups of female protagonists in form-fitting military uniforms with yellow accents, striking poses amid sparkling effects— from a white-haired girl summoning energy to a pink-haired character waving cheerfully, culminating in group shots of the ensemble cast in battle-ready stances against a dark, ethereal backdrop.

Chained Soldier, originally titled Mato Seihei no Slave in Japan, is a Japanese online manga created by writer Takahiro and artist Yohei Takemura [ja]. The story began running on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ digital platform starting in January 2019.

The narrative unfolds in a futuristic version of Japan, where mysterious gateways to a perilous alternate realm known as Mato have appeared nationwide. To combat the threats emerging from these portals, a elite unit called the Mato Defense Force (MDF)—composed entirely of women with extraordinary abilities—has been established. At the center of the tale is Yuuki Wakura, an ordinary young man who stumbles into Mato by chance and is saved by Kyouka Uzen, a high-ranking commander within the MDF.

The manga inspired a TV anime adaptation produced by Seven Arcs, which broadcast from January through March 2024.
