Yona of the Dawn Sequel Anime Officially Confirmed

Yona of the Dawn anime‘s official website unveiled that the series is officially getting a sequel anime.

The anime also unveiled a poster.

Yona of the Dawn is a manga series from Japan, created and drawn by Mizuho Kusanagi. It ran in Hakusensha’s shōjo publication Hana to Yume starting in August 2009 and wrapping up in December 2025, with the chapters compiled into 46 tankōbon volumes by June 2025. Viz Media holds the license for its English-language distribution in North America.

The narrative unfolds in a fantastical realm drawing from East Asian influences, centering on Princess Yona, who escapes a palace coup in the imagined realm of Kouka and sets out on a quest to protect her homeland from external threats and its own unraveling divisions.

An anime adaptation, consisting of 24 episodes and animated by Studio Pierrot, broadcast from October 2014 through March 2015.
