Ponkotsu Fūkiin to Skirt Take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi (translated as The Story Between a Dumb Prefect and a High School Girl with an Inappropriate Skirt Length) is a Japanese manga created by writer and artist Takuma Yokota. It started serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shōnen Sirius magazine back in March 2019. As of December 2025, the series has been collected into nineteen tankōbon volumes. An anime adaptation, produced by studio Zero-G, is scheduled to begin airing in April 2026.
The story centers on Tougo Sakuradaimon, a dedicated school prefect who takes great pride in upholding rules and disciplining others. He frequently clashes with Poemu Kohinata, a gyaru-style student who repeatedly breaks the dress code—especially with her skirt that’s far too short by school standards. Things take an unexpected turn when both end up in remedial classes together. There, Poemu learns that despite his strict attitude, Tougo struggles significantly with academics, particularly math. This mutual discovery of each other’s vulnerabilities leads to a complex, evolving dynamic between them as they navigate their weaknesses and growing connection.
