The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System is a Japanese light novel series authored by Nekoko, with illustrations provided by Jaian. The story first appeared online in April 2021 through the user-submitted novel platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. In June 2022, Kodansha picked up the series for official publication under its Kodansha Ranobe Books light novel label.
A manga version, drawn by Lee Brocco, launched in February 2022 on Kodansha’s YanMaga Web platform and mobile app. It later moved to serialization in Weekly Young Magazine starting in September 2024.
An anime adaptation, produced by the studio GoHands, is scheduled to begin airing in July 2026.
