My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s is a Japanese light novel series penned by Matsuri Akai with artwork by Tōzai. It first appeared on the user-driven novel platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2017. Subsequently, Overlap picked up the series, releasing it under their Overlap Bunko label starting in November 2017. A manga adaptation, brought to life by Hiroyuki Aigamo’s illustrations, kicked off on Overlap’s Comic Gardo platform in July 2018.
