“Kaiju No. 9 absorbs Isao, who is equipped with No. 2, and gains the immense power of “Kaiju No. 9.” Narumi and Kafka desperately attack and corner Kaiju No. 9, but they just barely manage to capture him. As news of Isao’s death spreads across Japan, a deep sense of loss and anxiety about the future spreads, and Narumi and Kikoru each make a resolution to their own hearts. Kafka must now face the price of his own power.”

Kaiju No. 8 is a captivating Japanese manga crafted by writer and artist Naoya Matsumoto. Launched in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ digital platform, the series has been compiled into 15 tankōbon volumes as of March 2025. Shueisha also brings the series to global readers through its Manga Plus app in English and multiple other languages. Viz Media has been releasing digital versions since August 2020 and physical editions in North America starting in December 2021.
