Hello, I am a Witch, and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion! is a Japanese web novel series authored by Eiko Mutsuhana. It was first serialized on the Shลsetsuka ni Narล platform from April 2019 to March 2020. Later, it was adapted into a light novel format and released by Futabasha under the M Novels f imprint, consisting of two volumes with illustrations by Vient, published between October 2019 and March 2020. A manga version, drawn by Kamada, started serialization in August 2020 on Kadokawa’s KadoComi platform under the Flos Comic label, and it has been collected into five volumes as of December 2024. An anime television adaptation is scheduled to begin airing in 2026.
The plot centers on Rose, a reclusive witch known as the “Witch of the Lake” (or Good Witch of the Lake). One day, she receives a request from a visitor named Harij Azm, who asks her to create a love potion for him. Although Rose tells him she doesn’t have one ready, she had actually prepared a love potion long ago in secretโhaving harbored feelings for him for years. To spend more time with Harij, Rose pretends she needs specific ingredients and convinces him to gather them, turning him into a frequent visitor at her secluded hermitage.
