Baki Dou Anime’s Official Trailer Goes Live

Baki Dou anime‘s official website has just unveiled the official trailer for the up and coming martial arts anime series.

The upcoming Baki Dou anime is set to go live on February 26, 2026.

Baki the Grappler, the Japanese manga crafted and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki was initially published in the shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion from 1991 to 1999, it was compiled into 42 tankōbon volumes by Akita Shoten. The narrative centers on teenage martial artist Baki Hanma, who hones his combat prowess through intense, unrestricted hand-to-hand battles against diverse challengers.

The manga spawned five sequels in the same publication: Baki, running from 1999 to 2005 with 31 volumes; Baki Hanma, serialized from 2005 to 2012 with 37 volumes; Baki-Dou, published from 2014 to 2018 with 22 volumes; a fifth series, also called Bakidou, but with Baki’s name in katakana, running from 2018 to 2023 with 17 volumes; and Baki Rahen, which began in 2023.

A 45-minute original video animation (OVA) debuted in 1994. A 24-episode anime series aired on TV Tokyo from January 8 to June 25, 2001, followed by another 24-episode run from July 22 to December 24, 2001. Netflix released an original net animation (ONA) from June 25 to September 24, 2018, with a second season dropping on June 4, 2020. A third series aired from September 30, 2021, to August 24, 2023, and an anime adaptation of Baki-Dou has been confirmed.
