An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess anime‘s official website has just unveiled a new trailer that introduces Prince Cecil Glo Alphasta.
An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess is a Japanese light novel series authored by Shiki, with illustrations by Wan Hachipisu. It first appeared as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform, where it remained until Shiki withdrew it in March 2017. The series was later picked up by AlphaPolis and published as a light novel under the Regina Books label, with two volumes released between May and September 2017.
A manga adaptation drawn by Natsume Hasumi began serialization on AlphaPolis’ Regina manga website in May 2018 and concluded in August 2021, spanning six collected volumes. Shiki and Hachipisu later launched a sequel titled An Observation Log of My Wife Who Calls Herself a Villainess, which started publication under the same imprint in April 2022. Its manga adaptation, also illustrated by Hasumi, began serialization on the same website in March 2022. An anime television series produced by Ashi Productions is scheduled to premiere in 2026.
Plot:
Cecil, a man detached from his own emotions, finds his curiosity sparked by his fiancée, Tia, who insists that she is a reincarnated soul reborn as the villainess of an otome game. Initially dismissing her claims as delusional, Cecil humors her stories—until the future events Tia predicts begin unfolding exactly as she described. Convinced that her knowledge borders on psychic ability, Cecil grows increasingly fascinated and starts paying closer attention to Tia and her seemingly absurd monologues.
