The Japanese flagship station of the TXN network announced on Friday that the Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories TV anime will get a tenth season that will debut in January.
Kanji Tsuda will repeat his job as the Storyteller. Other cast individuals include: Tsubasa Kizu, Taiga Fukazawa, Ryō Shinoda, Keisuke Sonoyama, Masaki Sawai, Ponzu, Toshiko Sawada, Issei Futamata, Reiko Mori, Sayaka Senbongi, Risae Matsuda, Nana Yamasaki, Nene Naninu, and Aoi Mizushina.
The anime‘s staff includes:
- Animation Studio: ILCA
- Akira Funada and Kenichi Sugimoto as Directors
- Kōichi Hirata, Naoya Miyasō, Yōsuke Inoue, and Megumi Yokoyama as Episode Directors
- Hiromu Kumamoto, Mitsuhi Sasagi, and Kanako Ishigami as Scriptwriters
The anime’s first season debuted on TV Tokyo on July 14, 2013, and ran for thirteen episodes until September 29, 2013; it generated a large group of product and a portable game while likewise getting blended responses toward the finish of its transmission. A subsequent season circulated from July 6, 2014, to September 28, 2014, and was coordinated by both Takashi Shimizu and Noboru Iguchi alongside scripts composed by Shōichirō Masumoto. On June 2020, it was reported Yamishibai will get a side project Ninja Collection which will air in July 2020.

Season 9 broadcasted on Jul 11, 2021 with the topic of the episodes being founded on the Chinese Zodiac.
