Weathering With You Film Sold More Than 10 Million Tickets İn Japan

Weathering With You film, as of Tuesday, has sold more than 10 million tickets in Japan following 75 days in the Japanese film industry. It is Shinkai’s subsequent film to arrive at this achievement, after 2016’s your name. The film has earned around US$120 million as of Sunday.

The Wethering With You film opened in 359 theaters and 448 screens in Japan on July 19. The last Japanese film to acquire more than 10 billion yen was Shinkai’s past film Your Name. three years back.

The film sold 1,159,020 tickets for 1,643,809,400 yen around US$15.22 million in its first three days in quite a while. The film positioned #1 in its opening end of the week.

GKIDS has approved that the film for North America and will give the film a “grants qualifying” showy keep running for this present year before a progressively broad screening with inscriptions and an English dub in mid-2020.
