The film sold 305,000 tickets throughout the end of the week, and earned about US$3.97 million from Friday to Sunday. The film has so far sold 8 million tickets for about US$101 million since opening. The film is presently the #9 most noteworthy acquiring film ever in Japan.

The film sold 1,159,020 tickets for about US$15.22 million in its first three days in quite a while. The film positioned #1 in its opening end of the week.

The Weathering With You film opened in 359 theaters and 448 screens in Japan on July 19.

Toronto International Film Festival will have the North American debut of Weathering With You as a major aspect of its Special Presentations class. The film is qualified to win the Audience Award. The 44th TIFF will be held at theaters in Toronto, Ontario from September 5 to 15.

“The summer of his high school freshman year, Hodaka runs away from his remote island home to Tokyo, and quickly finds himself pushed to his financial and personal limits.
