Weathering With You Anime

The official site for Makoto Shinkai‘s new film Weathering With You (Tenki no Ko) streamed a “special forecast” video for the anime on Tuesday.

The video features Shinkai’s works from 2002 to 2016 preceding reviewing film from the up and coming film.

Television Asahi circulated a footage from the film‘s opening scene during a rerun of Shinkai’s Your Name. film on June 30. The Weathering With You anime film will open in Japan on July 19. Shinkai affirmed that the film will get an overall discharge, and discharges have just been chosen for North America, Europe, Asia, and South America.

GKIDS has authorized the film for North America, and will give the film a “awards qualifying” theatrical run for this present year before a more extensive screening with captions and an English dub in mid-2020.

novel of a same name composed by Makoto Shinkai himself is set to be distributed on July 18, 2019, one day before the film’s presentation. Shinkai on April 30 declared that he has finished up the novel.
