Thorfinn Most Defining Moment

With the release of the most recent Vinland Saga season, we saw Thorfinn attempting to live his life in a completely different manner.

Thorfinn recently had to jump through quite a hoop in order to speak with King Canute after being denied his retribution in the first season finale, giving the protagonist his shining moment as a result.

In the series’, Thorfinn was facing a difficult challenge when we last left him. He would have to withstand 100 blows from a man known as “Drott The Bear Killer” in order to meet with the king. It is obvious from his size alone that the Canutean soldier has lived up to his moniker. Thorfinn, who has put his violent past behind him, accepts the challenge rather than attempting to defeat Drott physically. Thanks to his training and bloody conflicts over the years, he actually succeeds. Following the task, Thorfinn is able to articulate his feelings in a monologue.

The viking hero clearly suffered damage from a hundred blows despite Thorfinn’s ability to contort his body to deflect Drott’s punches. The Vinland Saga’s protagonist uses the chance to explain why he didn’t simply kill his foe, saying that he doesn’t view anyone there as an enemy. Thorfinn is on the most challenging journey in a society where violence and power are in control, and as a result, he is improving as a person.
