Thorfinn’s strategy was to assert that if Canute persisted in attacking, the main character would only depart in an endeavor to locate a place that is devoid of violence and war. The king initially chuckled at this revelation, but the conversation convinced him otherwise, and as a result, the English monarch left the farm.
