The last arc of Black Clover, has now officially begun as the manga story continues, and the startling cliffhanger from the most recent chapter of the series has suddenly revived some important fallen characters for some very bittersweet reunions.
Asta’s defeat by Lucius Zogratis in the first episode of Black Clover‘s final arc led to the Zogratis sibling’s declaration that the Clover Kingdom would experience Judgment Day in just seven days. It’s time for this final war to actually start now that certain significant events have occurred.
The latest chapter of the Black Clover manga shows Lucius bringing his angelic Paladin forces to the Clover Kingdom to start the war. As was hinted at by Asta’s training phase at the end of the previous chapter, Lucius’ power has increased to the point where he can now raise the dead to join his army. It turns out he’s succeeded in doing so, since well-known figures like Nacht Faust’s brother Morgen and Noelle Silva’s mother Acier are now big adversaries.
Black Clover has had a few major character deaths in both anime and manga releases thus far, although they have mostly occurred in the past to highlight the personalities of some of the characters. This was especially true for Morgen Faust’s tragic fate, who ultimately died young and motivated Yami and Nacht to form the Black Bulls in his memory. Although they were able to enjoy a brief family reunion, Noelle’s mother Acier has returned to the story as one of Lucius’ cruel jokes against the warriors of the Clover Kingdom.
It appears that there will be a lot of emotions running through the Judgment Day war overall because Black Clover Chapter 354 brings them back as two of Lucius’ Paladins squaring off for both fights against Yami and the Silva family members.
