A 26-year-old unemployed man was captured in Suzuka city in Mie prefecture for purportedly shoplifting 80 volumes of the Detective Conan manga from a book shop between April 10 to 13.
The absolute esteem is evaluated at 37,000 yen (US$334).
As per nearby police, clients saw the man making suspicious developments in the store and told the book shop assistant. The representative surveyed surveillance camera film and saw the man putting 10 to 20 books into his packs and afterward leaving the store.
The suspect supposedly told police that he “enjoyed Detective Conan” and needed to exchange the Detective Conan manga for cash.
