Saiyuki is a manga series created by Kazuya Minekura which was serialized in G-Fantasy from 1997 to 2002. Frontier Works posted a shared teaser promo video to announce that the “Even a Worm” arc of Kazuya Minekura’s Saiyuki Reload manga is getting a TV anime named Saiyuki Reload – ZEROIN-.
LIDEN FILMS is animating the project, and the four main cast members from the previous Saiyuki series are returning to their roles:
- Toshihiko Seki as Genjo Sanzo
- Sōichiro Hoshi as Son Goku
- Hiroaki Hirata as Sha Gojyo
- Akira Ishida as Cho Hakkai
Saiyuki, the first 1997 “fantasy road movie” manga arrangement approximately propelled by the Chinese novel Journey toward the West, has brought forth the Saiyuki Gaiden and Saiyuki Ibun manga side projects. The manga franchise overall has 25 million copies available for use around the world.
