Overlord is a Japanese light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. Kugane Maruyama affirmed in the fourteenth compiled book volume of his Overlord epic arrangement on March 12 that the arrangement will end with the seventeenth volume.
Maruyama had teased on Twitter last May (check out the Tweet below) that he was focusing on the arrangement to end in the seventeenth volume. As indicated by KSM, the German wholesaler of the Overlord anime, Maruyama expressed at the AnimagiC 2019 show in Germany last August that the books would end with volume 17.
Yen Press is discharging the light novel arrangement in North America.
The story takes place in the year 2138 when virtual reality gaming is booming. Yggdrasil, a popular online game, is quietly shut down one day. However, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as “the most powerful wizard.” The world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) beginning to feel emotion. Having no parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary young man Momonga then strives to take over the new world the game has become.
