One Piece series is one of the most famous both manga and anime and one of the longest-running series of all time with perfectly created characters with their own fan-base.

The arrangement has unquestionably advanced since its presentation, yet new and old fans keep on visiting the manga’s first parts. Fans didn’t know how Eiichiro Oda came to make the group, however, the artist gave everybody a heads up on one pirate.

There is almost zero possibility to create a character like Sanji without getting a backup or an inspiration by some character.

It turns out Oda had some particular motivation for the cook, and his dream is one not very many very speculated effectively.

On Reddit, the information reemerged to the joy of many. The note from Oda goes back to a Q&A meet the artist did with One Piece fans when somebody inquired as to whether Sanji depended freely on Leonardo DiCaprio.

The appropriate response is no… however, the fan was not very distant. Sanji drew some motivation from another Hollywood actor by the name of Steve Buscemi if that rings a bell.

Eiichiro Oda then confirms:

“Many people would ask about DiCaprio way back then. But as a matter of fact, Sanji’s model has a much more obscure background. I didn’t model him to the point of wanting an obvious physical resemblance; It was more like I hoped to get his attitude and mannerisms across. Sanji was based on the actor Steve Buscemi, especially his role in Reservoir Dogs, He’s really super cool. The only person who ever guessed it correctly was an employee at Bandai, years ago.”


One Piece is a Japanese manga arrangement composed and represented by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha‘s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997, and has been gathered into 92 tankōbon volumes. The story pursues the undertakings of Monkey D. Luffy, a kid whose body picked up the properties of elastic after unexpectedly eating a Devil Fruit. With his group of privateers, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy investigates the Grand Line looking for the world’s definitive fortune known as “One Piece” so as to turn into the following Pirate King.
