Naruto franchise’s official Twitter account unveiled on Monday that Boruto manga storywriter Ukyō Kodachi will resign from the manga, and Masashi Kishimoto himself will take over as storywriter.
The announcement says the following:
With regards to the manga, Boruto, with the publication of Boruto Chapter 52 in V-Jump December issue (on sale November 21st), the structure of production will be changed, and work will start from the beginning with accordance to schedule. To Ukyo Kodachi, who is the scriptwriter till now, thank you very much for your hard work. The serialization from hence forth will be with accordance to the original drafts of Masashi Kishimoto-sensei.”
The Twitter account expressed that this change was arranged from the earliest starting point. Kishimoto will assume control over the job beginning with the 52nd chapter of the manga, which the Japanese publishing giant Shueisha will distribute in the December issue of V Jump on November 21.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga was serialized monthly in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since May 2016 until it was moved to Shueisha’s month to month magazine V Jump in July 2019. Boruto is a spinoff and a sequel of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto, which follows the endeavors of Naruto Uzumaki’s child, Boruto Uzumaki, and his ninja group.
Boruto began from Shueisha’s proposition to Kishimoto on making a spin-off of Naruto. Be that as it may, Kishimoto dismissed this offer and proposed his previous partner Mikio Ikemoto to draw it, the author of the film Boruto: Naruto the Movie, Ukyō Kodachi, made the plot.
