Dabi’s furious final strategy against the heroes has begun in the My Hero Academia manga, and the most recent chapter has unexpectedly unleashed Dabi’s quirk.

The last conflicts against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One are starting to take shape, and My Hero Academia has completely confused the heroes. Following his defeat by brother Shoto Todoroki, it was revealed that the burning ember inside of Dabi’s chest was actually an explosion that he had been preparing with the intention of blowing himself up and causing as much harm to the public as possible.

The heroes were frantically trying to catch up to Dabi in the previous My Hero Academia chapters as he was determined to kill himself, but the most recent chapter of the anime has taken this to a whole new level as he is burning off the last of his life to fulfill his suicidal final wish. Dabi’s body is being strained beyond its capabilities as a result of his continued actions, and as a result, his quirk has awoken a new power. He seems to be surviving despite his strong flames because to an icy force within him.

Endeavor makes every effort to intercept Dabi and prevent his son from reaching his destination in My Hero Academia Chapter 387. Endeavor is attempting to convince his son to put an end to this explosive frenzy, but Dabi is already gone because his mind has practically returned to boyhood while his body is consuming itself. The hero tries to understand how Dabi’s body is able to maintain its structure in the midst of these fires because they are so intense they could even burn Endeavor.

Endeavor touches Dabi’s chest and discovers a piece of ice covering his heart. It is the cause of Rei Todoroki’s ice quirk, and the narrative explains why this is unique from a typical Quirk Awakening. It’s a power that has emerged as Dabi approaches death rather than because the person’s life is in danger. Dabi appears to be altering his quirk to reflect the fact that this is his final action.
