The June issue of Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine uncovered on Friday that Osamu Akimoto will end his Ii Yu da ne! (What a Nice Bath!) manga in the magazine’s July issue on June 19.

Akimoto propelled the manga in Ultra Jump in March 2017 as one of four new manga he propelled in the wake of closure Kochikame. The manga‘s first volume transported in April 2018.

The Ii Yu da ne! manga is a “continuation” to Akimoto‘s Kochikame manga. The story is set in the Kuma no Yu bathhouse in Tokyo’s low-lying Shitamachi region. The bathhouse’s proprietor, Gorō Kuma, is a gold miner who goes far and wide searching for mines, and his child remains behind with his granddad to care for the bathhouse in his nonappearance. At some point, Gorō’s Brazillian spouse Maria touches base at the bathhouse. The child and granddad are profoundly moved by Maria’s sincerity, and her magnificence and splendor spare the bathhouse from shutting.

Osamu Akimoto finished the Kochikame police comedy manga in September 2016, following 40 years of serialization.
