The streaming giant Crunchyroll announced on their official website that they are adding the Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting anime, the Hajime no Ippo – Champion Road television special on their streaming catalog.
Crunchyroll will start streaming the Hajime no Ippo anime and Hajime no Ippo – Champion Road TV exceptional on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. EST in the United States and Canada.
The organization depicts the arrangement as following:
“Ippo Makunouchi’s gentle spirit and lack of confidence make him an easy target for the bullies at his high school. Rescued from a beating by Takamura, a professional boxer, Ippo aspires to learn the art of boxing, and attempts to join the Kamogawa Boxing Club. But, to find his fighter’s spirit, Ippo must first spar with Miyata, an extraordinarily talented and skilled boxer. Can Ippo even survive the first round?!“
Hajime no Ippo anime is based on George Morikawa’s manga with the same name.
It has been serialized by Kodansha in Weekly Shōnen Magazine since October 1989 and gathered into 130 tankōbon volumes as of March 2021. It follows the account of the high school Makunouchi Ippo, as he starts his vocation in boxing and after some time gets numerous titles and thrashings different adversaries.
The 76 episode anime variation delivered by Madhouse broadcasted on Nippon TV from October 2000 to March 2002. A TV film and a unique video movement (OVA) were delivered in 2003. A subsequent arrangement named Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger circulated from January to June 2009. A third arrangement Hajime no Ippo: Rising circulated from October 2013 to March 2014.
